bucket o' gop
Put it this way...it's a bike (that you ride) not a handbag (that you mince with).
random or what stress analysis suggests?
Will look horifically dated in 18 months....check
Ah but the fashonista will have moved onto the next big thing by then and it'll only be us philistines who happily ride them around.
I currenty ride 3 On Ones and one common thing with all of them is 2 colours.
Adding a third colour as with this example (red) doesn't help this bike.
On One are trying too hard with the graphics both in their clothing and their bike builds.
Keep it simple it what most of us like.
I think that painting the shape of theair niner in black onto the white frame is cunning indeed
my twopenneth.
horrendous looking plasticy looking bike.
and i add that i think on one have lost the way.
since the arrival of the carbon stuff, the rest of the gear they sell looks like it is being sidelined to me. 😀

Or (in terms of 29ers) just non-existent!
I don't mind it - it has a purposeful look, the curved tubes make it look like its about to pounce, but that's spoilt by the fussy details. It'd look better plain black with no logos - you could even frighten small children with it.
And baby robins?
I think that Niner looks much worse tbh. Really odd angles and it exaggerates the size of the wheels. Nice colours but that's it.

I ride a Five for what it's worth so take from that what you will with regards to form over function 😉
And you brought up the looks first!
Do as I say...not as I do 🙄
Only a blind mother would love offspring that ugly.
i kind a like it......but then i like the C456 (which i've pre ordered) so maybe that's why? i'm sure if it has Specialised or something else written on it we'd all be jizzing our pants over it?
if you trace its basic outlines it's a nice shape and won't date like the On One.
It's a bike FFS - the shape doesn't 'date' it, the fact they're only produced for short periods of time does!

I disagree, a lot of bikes from the 90s have dated horribly but things like steel Konas have aged rather gracefully.
having seenn it in the flesh it is not a looker but my mates has grown on me ...not enough to want to won one mind.
I dont think it is that light/cheap compared to some alloy frames either
