Giving some thought to summer bike-packing. Wondering if anyone knows any routes mostly offroad between Thurso and Inverness? Perusing OS maps, can't come up with a good way to link them up without long journeys on the A9.

Id guess it depends how directly you want to get there. I've got some gpx files for the uk divide route that's being developed. Some of that could be used then pick up the Ullapool road to croik and follow the ht550 route in reverse. which gets pretty close to strathpeffer.
