How fast will the pootlers be going? The added pressure of deciding which group to be in is all proving too much!

I quite fancy this ๐Ÿ™‚

Think it will be a trip down and sleep in the car hahaha

lexiekay - get yerself in the fast group cos I know you're no slouch!

lewismorgan - XC bike is absolutely fine! In fact any bike will be fine ... apart from a road bike. One thing you can guarantee is that every niche will be in attendance. ๐Ÿ˜€

Well this ride certainly has had some build up. Think you should do group photos of about 10 so you can post names underneath then non participants could vote post ride on 'sexiness' of characters involved ๐Ÿ˜€

Might be an idea for us group leaders to ensure we all head off in different directions?

oppps, posted my route in the wrong thread,

Anyway, it starts going out allong the fire road form go-ape right at the end, then up the singletrack to the start of 9yards/watsons wander, then I'll head off towards crowthorne woods for a bit before coming back allong seagull/stickler/tanktraps and heading in the general direction of the labrynth before coming back down the whole 9 yards to the lookout.

haha, well i'm going out with the trolls for the first time tonight, then if that goes well I'll flog myself in the fast group on Thursday with some commuting inbetween, then if I'm organised Pangbourne from mountain high on Saturday and Reading CC club run on Sunday, should have a couple of hundred miles in my legs before next weekend.

The Trolls are a great bunch of guys! If you've not ridden in that area before, you're in for a treat.

hi

just received this message from one of my pals who is coming along to the ride:

"There is a notice on the Junction of the M3 J3 & A322 saying A322 shut from this point on 18th midnight to morning of 21st. This could be down towards Guildford or it could be down towards Bracknell which if you came on the M3 would be the route to the bike ride. Please check AA/RAC before leaving to show alternative routes. It could also be very busy around the area if A322 is shut. "

I am not from the area but my pal is, so this could be a good thing to be aware of?

Thanks for posting that up.

Alternative is to go off at junction 4 and you then have a 15 minute drive to Swinley, ie A331, A321, A3095, B3430.

Can you lot not organise one of these things on a day when I'm not working?

I'm going to have to start posting in the "get the feeling I'm not well liked in here" thread... ๐Ÿ™

Just a few words for folk in the Slow [s]Slackers[/s] Group - it will be chilled, nobody has to ride anything they don't want to, laughing is compulsory and your challenge is to be noisier than aleigh. ๐Ÿ˜€

If anyone has any questions, feel free to post on here or e-mail in profile.

Don't forget to buy a permit.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. 8)

Hold the front page!

Just back from recce'ing a route for Sunday and thought my eyes were deceiving me. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

The latest 'must have' accessory for walking in Swinley Forest - a bird cage! I kid you not. Not any old bird cage mind, a white metal one, the sort you have for an exotic feathered creature.

Was quite tempted to ask the walkers what exactly they were hoping to catch as the pheasant that has reappeared would definitely not be able to squeeze in it!
