In the area on sunday, been before but was wondering is there much off piste in the area? Is it top secret? Any ideas where to start or just wander?

There are a few bits here and there, not sure if they still have local races but these used to be away from the Waymarked trails, just hang a left instead of right at junctions and see what you find.

Loads in the greater area towards the Desert, and in the other Northerly direction towards Clumber/welbeck and beyond.
You'd need a local guide.
