Are Oakley sunglasses (prescription) worth the money. Purchased a cheap pair of prescription cycling sunglasses, but the lenses are badly scratched already, you only ave to look at them and they scratch.

I have some prescription flak jacket xlj and really rate them. They've saved me a fortune on contacts.

I got some a few years ago and really like them, I've just had them re-glazed (with new prescription) and they are still fantastic.

I'd definately replace them if anything happens to them.

I did have a blue iridium but went for a change with the new lenses and they are now black iridium (so it's like having new glasses).

Dunno about prescription but Oakleys are top notch shades.
Most importantly their service is excellent and you may never need to buy another pair...
I had some Fives for 7 years and accidentally snapped one of the arms, asked for a replacement, they had none as they were an old model and gave me a 50% voucher for a new pair of Minutes... if they last for another 7 years I'll have spent about £100 on top quality shades over 14 years

Isn't the black lens dark when you're on the trails in the woods?

I got mine for commuting initially so went with clear lenses. I have regular lenses for the frames too and use the persimmon lens for general riding when wearing contacts. I have some other oakleys with a black irid lens and find that too dark in the woods for all but the brightest days.

I've got fire iridium prescription flack jacket xlj's. Only find them too dark on the very darkest of dark adventures.. Like proper gloomy dark. Ye ken?

I've got non-prescription but as brooess says the best thing is the generous service policy, they do look after their customers in my experience.

I got some c-wire black iridium ones about 6 years ago, great pair of glasses managed to get a deal on an import site. They are in need of replacement but they have survived quite a few crashes, the lenses are stratched a bit now.

Don't want to hijack but any recommended sites?? ive tried the main oakley one but couldn't find anywhere to put in my prescription.
