[#4438469]

After a weekend with my glasses on top of my lid not on my eyes (standard Endura multi lense - sting ray I think) - due to fogging and glare.

I have 2 options

- just bought some anti fog £6 - I will see if it works
- fell in love with Jawbones - do they work / are they worth the cash (I can get them for £120 - new from Oakley)

Cheers

I love my jaw bones with vented lenses but they still mist. Bob Jackson (or whoever) anti fog didn't work on them.

Vented jawbones are pretty good. non-vented steam VERY easily.

I have got a pair of Jawbones with the vented lenses and they still fog up when I am working hard up a hill (slowly)... I think you'll find its all about airflow, ambient temperature and how hard your working and not necessarily the glasses/lenses - Oakley marketing dept may beg to differ however 😉

EDIT - Your helmet style and ventilation has a part to play too.

My Jawbones steam up on uphills, even more if its warmish and damp. I tend to take them off for uphills if i know they'll be a slog.

They fit great though so i'll slap them back on for going downhill. Vented lenses and airflow is the key. Also have used Fairy liquid on the lenses and this stopped them steaming up for a couple of rides Easy to re-apply. Put on neat, rub in and then buff off with a dry cloth.

Has anyone got any experience with vented vs non vented?

I'm about to drop the cash on some prescription ones but the vented lenses are an extra £60 over non-vented. I appreciate if I'm tanking it in the winter they're going to fog still but if there's a noticeable difference still between vented and non-vented, I don't mind paying… is there an improvement?

Had vented jawbone athey fogged less than my radars no vented but I did not like the frame/rim as the radars are better for coverage and less obstructive in vision.,,

Both fog vented less so

Sounds like vented will be worth it, I've got prescription half jackets at the moment which I find manageable as long as I don't stop too much…

Vented do still fog, but not as much as I used to get on other oakleys. They fogged today at the top of the lens when I stopped but the bottom of the lens didn't. They also clear pretty quick once you get moving again

Mr sheen is your friend, spray and polish for fog free riding, repeat every 4 rides or so. Also "roll"s water off the outside of the lense....
