[#6932335]

Just fitting a fat front to wife's bike using an O-O carbon fork. Deore brake bracket rubs on the disc - can't space it across any more.

Any ideas?

I had this with a V2 OO fat wheel and their steel fat fork.

I spoke to OO and they said that the hub endcaps and dish of the V2 wheel made in incompatible with the steel fork.

They advised sending the wheel back to them where they would fit new end caps an re dish the wheel.

Second time around all is well.

What hub are you using?

Is it front or rear wheel disc spacing?

Front or rear spaced hub?
File the adaptor/ space the disc out from the hub.
I've managed to get front and rear spaced hubs working with the wrong fork in different combinations.

If it was the same amount of "out" as mine was no amount of filing would have gotten it to fit ๐Ÿ™

Cheers for the replies. It's an On-one front fatty wheel in O-O carbon fork, with 2012 (I think) Deores.

Can't space anything - I either to need to file down the brake adaptor of the brake tabs on the fork...

Most brake adaptors can take a fair amount of filing to clear the rotor with no harm.

I'll give it a go - I've got a couple of spares anyway.

I had clearance issues with 160mm disc - moved up to 180mm and fixed it that way(?)

Cheers study if filing doesn't work I'll try a bigger rotor.
