Ta rewski - my first lil stem and I love it.....makes chucking the bike about and turning it a dream compared to longer stems!
The green Nomad with longer forks looks so much better. Those forks look too wee. Opinions and all that.
I wrote earlier about the stem and saddle.
But when I saw the new pics I actually said out loud "oooh you b*****d". How are the wheels?
Coogan - opinions are welcome!
Dirtbiker100 - ride like a dream - when pulled out of the box I had some worries as they sweet FA - make the PRO 2 Hoops feel like steel drums. Very solid feel and have stood up pretty well to the abuse over the past week. 8)
Matt, i mean an angleset. It's a headset that can slacken off your head angle
http://www.canecreek.com/AngleSet
It may be a little steep with the 32s.
BAckhander - will look into that - I'm a bit rubbish with all the angles but I know someone with a Nomad who has played with the angles up front (I imagine via an angleset) so might have a look at that.
Cheers!
Shame about the Easton Haven Bars, I assume you mean the carbon 11's. I heard Orange UK bought the whole UK stock. The Answers are cool though. Not sure if anyone else has mentioned but you might want to try your brakes up a bit more, reaching those on a steep decent with your bum over the wheel might be tricky.
Nice bike. Enjoy.
Looks fantastic! Well done.
lovely stuff! new wheels and stem look mint, especially liking the wheels, are you a millionaire?!?!?!?! you can afford to 'leave' a set of hope hoops lying around for a year without needing the cash for further wheels?!?!?! ๐
i like it, i'd have fitted another white stem though
Rewski - yes the carbon bars might be a summer purchase with the reverb seat post (or some sorts!).
Am in the process of fiddling with bars, levers and shifters trying to find the right balance. Pics are from Monday night and I was fiddling with the levers and shifter positioning. Cheers!
Oscillate Wildly - they are lying around but I think they will be appearing on here soon for sale - not a millionaire just been a tight b*****d .
Rocketdog - answer stem looks mint enough 8)
Here's mine, although I have changed the bashguard, guide recently and now a 22/36 up front. Coming from an old superlight I do notice there is more drag up hills, but its acceptable, but it does climb better when things get rough. [img] [/img]
I was a bit unimpressed to start off with as it felt a bit soft, but I've found I was running with too much sag and was outside the sweet spot. I've still got a more dialling in of the suspension to do, but so far very impressed.
matt23, nice bike. Quirky like my quake.
Mark 78 - sweet bike. Suspension is a pain in the ass fiddling about still trying to find a sweet spot. Would like a trip to MOJO to sort me out ๐
Is that the Hans Rey?? Thank you!
not quite THE hans rey, but i'd like to be! He's GT sponsored for a start...
That's what i thought - that's a rider move that went by under the radar!
Nice.
Maybe it's just the photo but the brake levers looks like they need rotating back a bit/lot - currently pointing towards the ground! That'll give you some serious 'over rotation' or... the deathgrip!
Otherwise, sweet... especially with a double and some 36s ๐
Love the white look, here's mine! Just built it up from a bargain frame drunk purchase on ebay...

Not a nomad as I couldn't afford it ๐ฅ
I can't even see the pics as I'm at work but I can tell from the other comments, its sh*t.
Deandorsie - cheers - the levers are sorted now have been fiddling to get the right feel and cockpit layout.
Konaboy - loving the bike might need to change to cannondaleboy now ๐
DaveyBoyWonder - thanks very much!
