Sorry in advance if these are stupid questions but I'm new to this singlespeed thing.
I have a Genesis io and am struggling to keep the chain tension tight enough- how often should you tighten or would something like a Surly Tugnut thingy help.
Also I had real problems this morning in that my chain slipped off the sprocket at the rear so I was wondering how often you need to change your chain and what recommendations you would make regarding chain types and widths.
Thanks in advance

Chain should have 'bout 5 mm of vertical play. Shouldn't need to change the chain or sprocket that often, being chucked of the back is more to do with non-alignment rather than tension

We've got three iO's at work and they're in use 24/7, I doubt if I've adjusted the chains more than half a dozen times in the last year.
I'd go with the 5mmish sort of play, but rotate the cranks and check for tight spots.

Thanks for that- hopefully saved me spending cash for no reason!
