Its been ages since I fitted or removed a rear mech so go easy on me 🙂
I have my bike packed in a bike bag ready to be trashed by Ryanair - no alternative 🙁
If I remove the rear mech (its currently zip tied away and looks OK) would it be asking for trouble when I get to the other side?
Or will it just screw back on with minimal aggro

I take mine off with the mech hanger attached, wrap it in foam/bubble wrap & tape it up inside the rear triangle.
No problems so far...

shouldn't be an issue at all. make sure you don't cross thread it when putting it back on, take care the cable cant get kinked badly while in the bag.
