Just got a bit over zealous freeing up a sticky piston and managed to squeeze another piston out of the the caliper completely.
1st Question is can I just push piston back in or will that damage the brake/seal in anyway (realise that I will need to bleed it afterwards).
2nd question is can I put DOT 4 in system if DOT 5.1 was used before?

Not sure about the piston but i think you can use dot 4 as long as you flush out the 5.1

You might get away with the piston - after all you have to put new seals in first then put the piston in.
IME its about 50 / 50 if you get away without a new seal. Nowt to lose by trying.
