I want to buy some bits from CRC including a Deore chainset but they're out of stock of Deore [b]and[/b] XT/SLX BB cups...
Are all HT II cups the same? Can I order Tiagra cups (or even non Shimano) or will that not work?

Road ones are different to Mtb ones (at least the current ones are - IIRC original road ones worked with original XTR HT2)
Yup different - I think the widths are different? i.e. sl different axle lengths, chainlines and therefore BB cup width?

I can get the same stuff from Merlin and they have XT cups in stock..:-)

Why has nobody pointed out that if the OP is buying a Deore HT2 chinset, it will be supplied with a BB and he doesn't need to get one seperately? 🙂
😳 Yeh got a point PP - however if its OEM it may not come with one?
