I have Thule Aero bars and always bought appropriate 'footpacks' for the car in question. looking at buying a car with roof rails built in - will Aero bars still work?

sure will just need the relevant footpack as before.

maybe - maybe not.
You need to get the feet that join to the roof bars but your aero bars might not be the correct length. Check on the Thule site for compatibility.
