I've mislaid the charger to my mobiwasher - it requires 14.5V / 1A. I have another old charger that's rated at 10 V / 1.2 A - is this likely to work or is it a bad idea to use mismatched chargers like this? Thanks.

Thks. Would 15 v / 1.2 amp work do you think, or does it need to be an exact match? maplins have one of them in stock and I need it for a race tomorrow.

What kind of battery chemistry is it? NiCad and NiMH are not as fussy as Li-ion, which need the right circuitry to detect when they're fully charged and avoid overcharge/explosion.

Some (all?) will run off a car 12v socket, if that helps, dunno if that can charge them too

Try it and see, what's the worst that could happen?
