anyone els using one?
im finding it a great light using it on its own and pleny for me at the mo just would like to try the other lenses but unsure how to remove/change them
also is anyone els having problems with a loose connection on the supllied cables whare it pops into the back of the light?
thanks.
I have some and they are great, no problems at all, to change the lens just unscrew the yellow cap bit which holds the lens in
iv tried its on there stupidley tight lol
am i right in thinking they dont make this light anymore or do chain reaction nolonget deal with them they seem to hav espares but no packs
You can buy the set in separates bits now on CRC because I wanted another battery for my Dealexreme lights but i think they have stop selling the battery now but i will check.
Yes it is screwed on tight so no water will get in but it will come off. come on flex them pecks and get it unscrewed lol 😀
I use a nuke proof reactor light. Well infact i use 2, 1 on the bars with the medium spread diffuser. And 1 on the helmet with the spot diffuser. Great lamps, not had any probs with the conector. Just push it on till it clicks in place. As for the screw cap to change lens, mine was on very tight. To undo it for the 1st time i put some masking tape round the gold cap edge, then used 1 of those rubber grip tools to grip the tape and light head to crack it open. Once its been opened it is easy to do it by hand in future, its just getting it open the 1st time from new that is the prob.
Yep i have one and love it never felt the need for anything else in terms of power and got it for £100 when chain reaction were selling them off. Oh and yes had to use mole grips to get the lens cap off first time but no problem after that
Mine are good. I'm slightly disappointed with the output but it's not a problem as it is good enough and I also got them dead cheap form CRC.
i got it crc reduced aswell, did u get more than was mentiond in the pack i got the 2 cell but with all the difusers and helmet mount from the 4cell as it ddnt prntion it in specs online.
The lights have been discontinued by Nukeproof for 2011 which is why the shops only have spares.
To change the lens you need to unscrew the gold bit but there's an oring under it which is why it is so tight.
well the light review in mbuk this month has the luu extream 4cell whitch i swear is the same as the nukeproof bar the holding system and says its only 204 lumens douse this sound correct as its rated at 900 i new it wasent 900 but its def more than 200
Comparing with my 180 lumens fenix torches, I'd say they are not even double the output.
They are not bl00dy 900 lumens and they should be had for lying basically. If I'd paid full whack I'd be furious.
iv had it against a 3w one23 liight and fenix(the 225lum one) and its deffo brighter than that aswell.
Quoted lumens on all lights, except NiteRider and someone else I can't remember right now, are the potential max output of the emitter. The other two actually measure their output and tell you that, in fact apparently niterider measure the output of each individual unit before it is sent out!
