I've got a 2013 Nukeproof Mega TR which is compatible with a direct mount front derailleur, I'm currently running single ring with a chainguide (ISCG 05), but I want to change the chainguide to upper guide only and have seen the e.thirteen XCX which attaches via direct mount, however I'm now really confused as there seems to be several types of direct mount (E-Type, high & low). Will the XCX guide fit my Mega? Thanks

Doesnt answer your question, but I have run the XCX ISGC on my mega with no issues: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ethirteen-xcx-st-iscg-05-chain-retention-top-guide/

If you are using a clutch mech and narrow/wide chainring, then you can omit the chain guide.

Thanks stevenk4563, but that has just confused me further as the mount looks totally different to the XCX!! 🙁

I have a mega TR, the superstar one will definitely fit, I don't think the XCX one you linked to will.

Sir HC's guide will also work fine as it uses the ISCG tabs, and you would then remove the direct mount adapter from the frame.

For the direct mount that the Nukeprrof comes with (bolts onto the back of the seat tube), this is the one you need -

Eeeek, £70 is a bit steep 😯 I think the superstar one will do!
