Just found this on the nukeproof webpage:
A couple of new frames. What do people think?
40MB !!
bit much for a brochure
Mega looks alright. Gone all a bit hydroformed....
Makes mine look a bit 'agricultural'.
Big changes for the mega this year then, 160 or 130 rear travel and hydro formed tubing. Looks like they've steepened the seat angle too which is nice- will be good to see proper pictures though rather than just renders- having said that it does look nice.
If its the same price as the 2012 bike it could be great!!
Who was it that was getting all shouty about there definately being no changes to the Mega coming?
Mega Trail looks interesting, be keen to know what the price will be.
Some more info...[url=
Hard about the trail a wee while back. Very keen to know prices!
I imagine that they are going to be similar to the full price of the original mega.

somebody is still on dial up! 😛
Some nice stuff in there but hate the logo!
Colour schemes are absolutely minging but the Mega Trail looks like a good contender! Similar to a Bandit.
Can someone please explain the BB height to me please? What does it mean when it says 'BB Height: 0mm', I know this is 0mm rise (right?) but how high is that from the ground?
I think it means above the rear axle centre point.
I'm really liking the new hydro formed look. Looks classier and definately more expensive. Let's hope the am full build isn't going to be 4k.

+1, pass me the Nitromors... 😯
Bike looks pretty good though. Be interesting to see if its still going to be such a good price compared to frames of a similar ilk.
Prices are slightly up, but not much and you get a lighter frame, better shock "monarch plus" plus reverb stealth etc.. on the pro..
getting mine in november!! cant wait
Where did you find prices nasher?
i think i will be keeping my old one.
i like the look of the trail though
Trail looks good. Like a bandit..
I wish manufacturers would post weights up. Pet hate.
Carbon mega by next year then? 🙂
I was the one getting shouty about their being a new Mega, I saw it in a dealers brochure quite a few months ago.
No one believed me and when I asked Nukeproof they effectively told me to piss off.
Anyway I'm mildly pissed they replaced it so quickly, time to break my current frameset by casing a drop to give me an excuse to buy the new one. Loook schweeeet!
Tbh it just means we now have excuses too run our old frames into the ground!
I'm not suprised after the new pulse was announced.
First mega, scalp and snap were launched at eurobike 2yrs ago. Seems a pretty reasonable model year cycle.
Seems a bit of a disservice to the Scalp to market it as a budget DH frame/complete build.
It's a very very good frame.
Seems like too many bike choices now, though some of them do look tempting.

I'm mildly pissed off that you would use the term 'pissed' in an American fashion.

I'm mildly pissed that your mildly pissed that someone has used pissed in an American fashion.
Mega video here:-
that mega trail looks like an absolute hoot to ride.
I'll stick to my simple old fashioned tubes. Then again, I owned an original Hemlock and thought that looked good too.
Damn, they're growing on me.... 🙁
They look good and I fancy a change from my 5-spot...raw finish option, please.
Big improvement visually.
The TR looks like it could be a really good bike if it's slimmed down & lost some of it's bulk.
Nice safe tweaks.
Which year will we be able to buy a 65deg 115mm coil NP frame?
pass me the Nitromors...
+1million
That is fully gopping. I preferred the shape of the old one, too personally.
And the new Scalp looks like a very cheap TR450 imitation, whereas the 'old' one just looked like a Nukeproof.
I'm sure they'll ride nicely, but what's wrong with plain black and a small logo - looks better in 99% of applications.
Nice safe tweaks.
Geometry-wise yes but the front triangle looks very different tube-wise...
I guess the strip graphics are perhaps to lighten the tubes visually, not my cup of tea but the bikes look great.....the more I look at them.
The Mega TR is going to have to be a nice price to compete with the Transition Bandit to be honest, comparing the specs they're virtually identical in terms of head angle, BB height, chainstay length etc.
Some nice stuff in there but hate the logo!
Want to like them, but the name is just so naff!
Trail does look a contender though, if I can get over the name issue.
Thought the whole point of Nukeproof was transition bikes at pikey prices. The new Azonic 😉
Graphics look fairly ming, but I assume the silver/raw one is just stickered so easy to resolve.
front triangle looks so much better without that awkward seat angle now.
I'd be tempted if I was in the market for one.
Some nice stuff in there but hate the logo!
What struck me most was the lack of overt branding. The current mega which I have was totally plastered with Nukeproof branding. To be fair, it doubled as heli-tape but it had to go....mostly.
Not so irritated now.
I need a large frame and I also wanted a coil shock.
Going to sell my current frame and buy the new one in a large size, shouldn't be much more expenive than buying a double barrel by itself.
Bike radar are saying £3600 for the am with ccdb, 170mm lyrics and 1x10 X0. Bit of a bargain! Guess it'll be ~34lb in that config?
Is that a bargain?
According to NP on Facebook the TR frame is 1400 euros!
Well admittedly it's not a bite-your-hand-off-and-call-me-Susan kinda bargain, but what other aggressive 160mm bikes are there for that? You won't get an alpine 160 with ccdb for £3600, or a nomad, or a mojo hd. Not to mention nuke proof stuff is normaly fairly heavily discounted so it should be a chunk less than that... Well that's what I'm hoping any how 🙂
el guapo wipes the floor with that on price
...and the YT Wicked 150 smashes the el guapo for value.
I really love my current mega but not sure about these. They seem to have split it in two, going more All mountain or more trail, where as I love the fact that I find the current one sits in the middle. The seat tube is nice and steep for getting up things and yet it's nice and slack for getting down.
I like the stealth option on the new frame and the 142x option. But I'm not desperate to change. Very, very happy with my current mega to be honest.
Plus you have to go 29 nowadays to be a player. 🙂
The AM looks very, very nice. As for value, it depends what you're after. Its a bit daft taking the launch prices of 2013 products and comparing them with current stock on clearance.
