looked on CRC but can not see a 29er option? have they stopped doing 29er custom wheels?

They still build 29ers. Just add the hub / rim / spokes to the basket and write a note in the additional order information box at the basket asking for the wheels to be built. They'll contact you regarding the build charge and then the wheels will be built before dispatch.
It's also worth emailing them the order number to ensure they are built or email them to check beforehand.
