Alaska
The entire article's pretty special: here[
Awesome pics.
Sweet - would love to get up to AK one day.
Try Ullock Pike in the lakes for a warm up ๐
or the Servoz ridge trail from Brevent... ๐ฏ
I'd do the whole thing saying 'fall off to the right, fall off to the right' and then fall off to the left.
great pics
It's a great article. I'd love to ride that ridge. Slowly right enough!
Yeah but look at the penalty for failure dude! ๐
Is that guy just showboating being that close to the left? I know I'd be just a bit further to the right.
there was headcam video of that online a while ago. Well worth watching.

I'll be there in June/July. I missed it last year. In June I will probably need skis and a jetpack!
EDIT just seen your post in the other thread. Enjoy the Vanoise! I heard the snow had been pish too. A real discrepancy between what the resorts' official snow reports say and the situation on the ground
The twelth pic in that article is just plan scary!!!!
Could be a massive dump in May like there was last year! But hopefully I'll be able to do the ridge in June. Bummer for the skiers though. I was thinking about an impromptu trip to Les Arcs this weekend but it sounds too slushy.
Have you discovered this guy's website, quite useful: http://www.chamonixsnowreport.com/.
Here's the video for it, it's on the Contour headcam website

I remember driving past that igloo thing.
Alaska is amazing (and that's without touching a bike while I was there).
See any bears?
Seriously who sees a giant igloo like that and thinks "Nice igloo. I shall make a ramp on either side of the entrance and turn it into an enormous transfer/wallride"?
Has anyone ridden down it from the top yet
Are the later ones taken in the park, I forget it's name, where the guy in Grizzly Man met his end? It looks familiar.
I think he met his end in Katmai National Park. Those were taken in Lake Clark National Park which, in Alaska terms anyway, is in the same neck of the woods. The first two photos were taken in Denali National Park (which is more or less where that Igloo thing is actually).
awesome...
