Frankenbike being build on zero budget. Crankarm has a funky thread taking pedal at an angle.
Providing I'll Never need to remove the pedal from the crank ever again, just bash it in and turn a new thread?
Less hamfisted solutions welcome.
Chase it through from the other side, if you can find a threaded bolt long enough?
you wont find a bolt with the right thread, especially if its the left hand threaded one.
i have pedal thread taps, and inserts if you live near essex

I've got a set of taps, we'd probably be able to fix the thread pretty easily... But I'm not around much til the end of the month, is it a rush job? (always is for me)
At the very least, put the pedal in from the wrong side first to help clean the threads.
I can get Graham at Harts to do it for small beer, not an urgent thing. Running the pedal through the other sides worth a bash when I get home.
And it's on a driveside Suntour crank taken off the Carrera Vulcan.
Currently smug as smug bananas because all the bike bits in the bike room I've never thrown out, despite Mrs. C's persistent consternation, are being used. Schwing.

I bought a pair of pedal taps very cheaply online when I slightly mashed a SRAM Red crank a while back, worked a treat. Something to keep in your toolbox for the odd occasion perhaps.

Back to plan A. It wasn't taking on the other side so I just let the pedal thread itself. Just desperately trying to get this built up and it will be replaced later.
Soft suntour crank, hard shimano pedal bolt ftw
