Has anyone ridden on the Moors around Sinnington and Rosedale Abbey the last couple of days since its been raining - how muddy will it be?

Haddock Its been mint dry, fast & dusty for last 3 weeks, however I was up there last night and its already getting muddy & cut up. The local donky club have been up the sinnington trail and cut it up a bit. Moors and rosedale singletrack are ok and will soon dry up if it doesn't rain all week. If it rains all week it will no doubt turn to good old mudville as normal.
Are you local to the area muca, cheers stumpy aka Nick.

Sort of i'm just outside Hull so the Moors are as near as anywhere for proper riding. I'm going up tommorrow as the forecast is better - from what you've said i'll be fitting a mud tyre this afternoon!

big four legged things with tourists on them go out and put holes in the trails which are about as deep as those left by mountain bikes.

Haddock; fit speed kings !!! 4 of my crew rode on them last night when i was on some budget crap but they had half decent tread and guess what the speed king boys had several ground arse interface moments but it makes for an interesting ride. Not to mention the post ride pub piss take...

I dont suppose you or any of your mtbi'n mates would be interested in marshalling for SSUK09 at Dalby ? We are running it this year and we are looking for voulenteers to assist.

Cheers Stumpy

I was wondering whether you meant people who listen to donk, ie boy racers.

Not familiar with donk?

The moors got a good soaking yesterday - poured it down all day in Pickering, nand my little trip in the car over the moors to Whitby and back showed no sign of dryness anywhere which made my mind up about going ut for a ride last night. I like to ride my biike for longer than it takes to clean it.. 🙄
