A few of us are looking to spend a day on the moors this Good Friday.
I've been trying to find a gps file for something decent. The Glaisdale long loop (covered in MBR in 2008) looks good, but I can't find a file for it.
Any pointers or other recommendations appreciated?
This one is in the same area (GPS link at top). If you want to do the Glaisdale Corkscrew: after the George Gap section drop down into Fryupdale instead of returning to Trough House.
Thanks Terra, that routes looks great. I'll see if I can download the GPX from the Garmin site.
Is it on here?
Theres a couple that mention Glaisdale.
Thought I'd update on this.
We did this route in the end, and very nice it was too.

There was a good feed station not mentioned in the write up at about 1/3 of the way through - http://lordstones.com/
The only route issue was the section after the above eatery. Instead of heading off on the Cleveland Way as marked, just ride along Raisdale Road. The marked route comes back to the road anyway and you'll miss a section of XC that was poorly marked, little used and blocked with fallen trees etc (ie not worth it).
