Morning all, I'm sat looking out into thick fog so fancy throwing the bike in the back of the car and heading to either Guisborough or Hamsterley. Can anyone tell me if either is clear ?

I'm about 25 miles north of Hamsterley and it is proper thick fog here. Can't imagine it is that much different there right now, but it may burn off later.

Well yesterday hamsterley did it's usual. Drove round the corner at the top of the valley to be met with glorious sunshine ? it was gorgeous up there.

most of the time you can count on the weather up there being the opposite of what it is further east.

I'd say go for it. You may get lucky again

Cheers. I'll risk it and nip up after lunch.

Looks a bit misty over Guisborough / moor tops, definately not thick fog.
Currently enjoying sunshine in Stokesley, (not far from Guis)

Yep. Went to Guisborough in the end, slightly hazy but nice enough, it certainly feels a step closer to winter today though, compared to the weekend.
