I dont mind paying for biking shorts as Ive a couple of pairs of Endura and feel they are worth the money . Anyone bought something from either trespass or dare 2 b range and been happy enough with them .
That looks like it would be a pita to ride in. Personally I would go for something cheap from altura/dhb or whatever. Probably cost you around £40 but reproof it with nikwax once a year and it's yours for a decade or more.
Edit: actually I reckon it's worth saying that spending money on decent, well fitting riding gear is probably the best £ spent. Being warm, comfortable and happy is the difference between a good ride and a crap one!
Never thought about dhb , I take It Altura are slightly cheaper than Endura . ?

Altura do all levels of stuff. I just had a quick spin around wiggle and crc. You could pick up something from castelli, craft, endura etc for under 40. That's what I'd recommend.
