[#1127151]

got hold of some 2nd hand nokon cables. Bought a new extension kit (for some extra pieces and new inner liners)
done the brakes no problem, but the liner for the gear cables has a smaller bore 1.2mm and I am stuggling to get a gear cable to fit without being tight.
I just ordered 2 new nokon gear cables and hope this will be ok, just wondering has anyone had a similiar experiance with these.
I have lub the cables aswell, so that isn't the problem.

You do need a finer cable than is usual.
(1.0mm rather 1.2mm I think)

These can be purchased without having to be Nokon's.

thanks for the info, but laugh, was just in town and took a section of the inner sleeve with me to halfords to try it for size, they had some clark cables in and they fitted a treat.
So I asked the assistant if I could borrow a vernier caliper to just measure the clark cable diameter.

as in " do you have a vernier caliper "

he kindly pointed me to the brake section and anounced these are the only calipers we sell. LOL
made my day that has ๐Ÿ˜†

anyway just waiting now for the nokons to arrive from chainreaction, fingers crossed that they bloody fit.
