Could really do with bleeding my Hope X2 brakes tonight but the only tubing I have is too big - anyone know of a good [s]bodge[/s] workaround?

The tube I use is the stuff that goes from the car windscreen washer bottle to the jets. See if you can "borrow" a piece.

Hi. Fuel tubing for my nitro model car was perfect for bleeding my M4's. Your local hobby shop will have some. That probs won't be any good though if you need it tonight. Regards.

I managed to do my XT servos this week without even opening the bleed nipple.

Put the bike level, level the brake lever and then top up the reservoir. Pump the lever at regular intervals while tapping the hose. Lots of tiny bubbles come out and eventually you end up with a nice feeling brake.

Obviously it's not the correct way to do it or even the right model brake but it could help you out if you're in a jam.

Ok thanks for the ideas - I'll have to get some tube tomorrow and trust I can get the job done quickly between putting kids to bed and getting out!

Take pads out.
Space out pistons
Put
Caliper over a bowl.
Bleed as normal.
Clear up after.
Clean caliper with brake cleaner.
Job done!
Easy!
