Having an issue at the momment finding a front mech that will fit my frame with XX.
Weather is so nice though i don't want to miss it!
If i plonk the chain on the bigger ring will it be ok without a mech ? Or will it fall off/destroy the universe ?
You will die. Of that you can be sure.
Stick it on with superglue
It'll be fine - just wind the stop right in on the mech to stop any accidental big/big shifts

What front mech you after I have a bolt on xx one here doing nothing????

Don't use a mech on my Mav and there's nowhere to put a Jumpstop or similar. Chain has never come off.
