[#3874868]

I'm building up some stans arch rims and I see that Stans recommend nipple washers...

anyone know where I can actually get some?

I'd say around any football stadium there's bound to be a few quality ones.

When did Notubes start saying that? I was told they were a bad idea on their rims when I asked the same question a couple of years back. Plus I couldn't find any anyway.

shame these rims do not come with eyelets...

eyelets imho are the sign of a good rim.

sorry i know that does not help with your quest

I used to think that too. My 8 yr old Olympics are fine though.

eyelets imho are the sign of a [s]good [/s]heavy rim, which may or may not be good quality.

FTFY - I've seen more Mavic rims fail around the eyelets than I've seen Stan's rims fail full stop.

I'd not bother with nipple washers.

I've borken (typo but I quite like it actually ๐Ÿ™‚ ) quite a few mavic rims by cracking around the eyelets...

I've got my Arch EXs now and I'll be building without washers.

TBF, there are many many more mavic rims out there than stans, but yes a few (only a few IME) models did have this issue.
