[#864413]

I've decided to replace my Rocky Mtn element with a FS 29er, i really enjoy my hardtail 29er and as i tend to do long long rides I quite fancy the idea of a FS 29er.

I had looked at the Niner range and the Jet9 as I'd like something to be quite light and its mainly for adventure racing so nothing super steep and technical. I also considered the GF Superly 100. Having done a bit of research on the Niner they seem to have a fair few swingarms snapping ! I may have to source in NZ (which makes it v expensive) for warranty reasons otherwise it becomes a pain.

Anyone got a Jet9 and have practical comments ? Or anyone ridden the new Superfly ? I have seen one at the worlds last week in Oz and looked all good. It will be built X0/XTR with Industry Nine wheels.

Ta

niner have recalled all their Jet's due to weld failures. Total redesign for that frame.

I owned an 08 RIP and SIR 9, also demo'd the JET. The head angles are a little too steep for my liking. YMMV of course.

SantaCruz Tallboy

The Jet 9 might have had problems a while ago, but there have been no problems for a long time, and they are releasing a new version which should sort out the flexy rear triangle.
