I'm thinking of getting a frame, but would appreciate comments on the frames from people that have one or had one!

Had an EMD - same geometry - and it was an ace bike. Managed that balance of 'big wheel but not handle like barge big wheel', and was surprisingly comfy for a race alloy frame.
had one for maybe 2 years(the scandium), raced it, good frame. changed it for an on one carbon race 29er for no reason other than i fancied something new. i think the on one suits 80mm fork and the niner 100mm, even though (on paper) the geometry is supposed to be the almost the same. its a good frame but a bit pricy really.
Great, fast bike for under 3 hours of not too technical riding (mines fully rigid), a bit stiff for anything longer.
I've already got two Scandals, rigid and 100mm susp, but like us all , I fancy something a bit more niche! The Scandals I have are the earlier Scandium ones and I really love! Am I going to waste my money? But, if I get the same feeling from the Niner frame as from the Scandals, I suppose I would be happy with that! Any other improvement, however small, would be a bonus!
never ridden a scandal, but i have built one up for friend. the niner is a much nicer finished frame. the scandal build was few years ago, they might be nicer now. i doubt thr niner will feel much different.
