I use Nikwax TX Direct spray (I think that's what it's called) on jackets and it makes the water bead off them like new.

Thoroughly recommended.

proofed my Nike ACG waterproof with TX Direct wash in just last week. it didn't seem to improve the waterproof-ness (it was already pretty good at that) but it has improved it's breathability. not gore-tex.

Washed my Gill eVent jacket and Altura Attack 3/4's in it yesterday and then used their wash in reproofer. Rode to work in the rain this morning and both were shedding water as if they were new. The Nik wax stuff doesn't require you to tumble dry or iron it which is also good. I've used Grangers in the past and I don't think it's as good.

I've used grangers with Ron Hill Bikesters. I wear them regular for the commute and I guess after the 3rd wash they were back to getting soggy. Worked well though after 1st application; but I wouldn't do it again on something that's going through the wash a couple times a week.
