As per the title, can anyone recommend where to get the pivots on my Helius AM fettled? Newport/Cardiff area.
TIA
MOJO are Nicolai deals and know a thing or two about suspension.
If mojo are not interested Drop me a mail and I can advise. Any shop should be able to do it and can get the parts from Nicolai.
I did wonder, what with their odd prototype thing, but assumed they'd only be interested in servicing Fox bits. Will drop them an Email - they have the added advantage of being virtually walking distance. ๐
Leisure lakes in Newport, have good stock of bearings and sell the mojo Nicolai bikes so can get the tools/parts also.
Mojo don't really service anything other than the (fox)suspension.
Some very quick responses there! Thanks all!
Once you have the parts (easily available from Nicolai) it is a very straightforward job indeed.
If its a Helius AM then it is all bushings I think? If so I would buy the tools for it along with some new bushings and do it yourself its pretty straight forward. Depending on how old your frame is, you may find that not all the bushings need replacement.
I've needed to replace pivot axles and bell cranks too in the past. If you do decide to DIY, note that there are two grub screws set behind the main swinarm pivot down by the BB. They can be hidden/ covered in cack and gunge and need to be cleaned out and loosened off a turn or so prior to removing the pivot axle.

All bushings, aluminium axles. If they've been allowed to wear badly then the axles will need replacing as well.
It's usually the main pivot and the lower shock lever pivot and axles that wear first. As well as the axles and bushings you need to replace the IGUS washers.
Thanks all.
I can confirm that Mojo are only interested in the boing-ey bits, so I popped over to Leisure Lakes at lunchtime and booked it in there. I can't think why they didn't occur to me, only being 10 minutes walk away. Doh!
I would normally do work myself, but am time-poor at the moment.
