Either a bait bike, or a very silly owner.

It's a 26" though. Even scrotes can't sell those, so no need to lock it at all really.

Just seemed odd, it's a touch over biked for a train station commuter. Then just to lock it like that, very odd. Wonder if it was a bait bike. It's a London(ish) station so not like rural Devon

Suspiciously clean, too. With stock tyres, I think. So it's possible.

makes sense to lock up a bait bike by the rear wheel as everyone knows thieving chavs can wheelie so they could still ride off with the front wheel removed.

Bait bike I'd say it's even got the reflector on the front wheel

Its bait, i.e the rozzers are across the street keeping watch, and after seeing Tiger taking a pic/unhealthy interest, they are currently securing a warrant to raid his house thinking he is responsible for 50% of the local cycle theft statistics ๐Ÿ™‚

Some people will walk into a bike shop to buy a mountain bike to cycle to the station. And despite the good advice from the salesperson suggesting a value oriented hybrid, the customer will have made their mind up. The risk of pushing good advice too far is that the customer walks out empty handed.

Or it's a bait bike.

Be surprised. Pretty much every day business in some parts.

I'm not saying that one is though.
