Please spare a thought at 1030 this morning when we bid farewell to our dear friend Nick.

The funeral is at 1030 at his local church, St Wilfrids, Ribchester; many of his friends will cycle with him on his final ride.

What a tragic and sad loss.

I cycle through Ribchester to and from work, lovely little place to rest.

Just cycled past the Ribchester Arms pub where there were loads of people dressed in black - I can only assume it's the wake.

Massive amount of cars, car-park full, and all the way down the street (and beyond over the bridge).

Heading down South now. Sad but fitting tribute.

No. That was another funeral. Nicks wake was at the Longridge Golf Club. At the top of the bloody big hill.

Ah right ok. Longridge golf club is just up the road from me - and that bloody big hill is part of my training route ๐Ÿ™‚

I believe the wake at Ribchester Arms was for Georgie Collinson, who was just 19.

Lovely words from Chipps, brought a tear to the eye.
Been a sad couple of weeks for a smallish community.
