Anyone know a good place to source one from?

Thinking of replacing the seals on my Fox Vanillas and have been recommended to add 10ml of fluid into the bottom of each leg.

I don't have anything in the house to measure quantities that small and accurately.

Yeah not the easiest of things to source. A mate of mine can get hold of such things very easily, but he's an awkward sod tbh not worth the hassle really.

Sigh.

Just get a wee measuring jug or a measuring spoon. Or for lowers, just guess - it's only lube oil, not damping.

Most medicine spoons are 5ml. Cough syrup, that sort of thing. 3 normal sized teaspoon-fulls would be about the same.

Chemist.
Say you've got a babe in arms who needs a dose of "amoxycilin", you've tried the small measuring spoon but that wont wash with junior and you need a syringe to administer said drugs and Bob's your Aunt Fanny's live in lover.

Local vets, no problem I offer to pay for them but they give me them for free. Got all sorts of sizes - seperate ones for suspension fluid, float fluid, bleeding brakes etc

They have plenty of the little ones what the heroin addicts use. It's very sad really seeing other Human Beings become so desperate.

Hmm, so a bit more tricky to source than I first thought.

Sure I remember my parents used to have a small one they used to administer medicine to the cat so perhaps the vets is the best bet.

Apparently the average semen per ejaculate is 2-5ml so I could probably do a visual estimate if all else fails 🙂

I've never had any problem buying them in the chemist. Clearly I look far less dodgy than elf.

Pet / farm supplies, you want feeding syringes. I just rang round the local ones.

Never had any problem getting them from the chemist but I get mine from ebay as I'm quite incredibly slack.

(no need to spin a load of nonsense... If they say "What's it for" just tell the truth and watch their eyes glaze over)

Just the one thanks Ambrose but think I may have a solution as found a brake bleed syringe from an old set of Giant MPH brakes I have in the spares box at the back of the cupboard!

Buy a bottle of kiddies neurofen. You get a kind of syringe in the box.

Or eBay.

eBay. it is always the first place I look for things like this. I bought a pack of 5 for under £2 (including postage).

Go to a chemist, ask for a feeding syringe, hand over 70p. Use
I've bought loads in the last few months thanks to mini Transapp

Local agricultural suppliers for a lamb feeding syringe is a good bet, as large volume and good seals that last, outlets such as Mole Valley farmers (although think they're only in the SW) or Scats ( seriously)

Just don't tell them why you want one. Nothing more suspiscious than entering into a long tale of why you want to purchase something potentially dodgy.

BTW medicine (oral)syringes etc don't have the right type of fitting for needles, so a chemist is unlikely to raise an eyebrow at selling you one unless you look particularly dodgy.
The tip re child nurofen is useful, I'd forgotten that they had those little 5 ml tube type syringes included.

Whatever you end up with, clean it out thoroughly after use as the lubes & oils we use in suspension forks don't agree with the rubber used on the end of the syringe plungers & will cause the rubber to swell & jam in the syringe barrel.

Sorry, bit of a thread hijack. I've got an avid (juicy) bleed kit and the seals on the syringes have gone. Does anyone know where I could get cheap (i.e. non-avid) replacement syringes as I don't want to have to buy a new bleed kit. They have a screwed fitting on the syringe. Does anyone know if this is a standard "luer lock" fitting? There are plenty of these on ebay that would probably do the job. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lazy, they sound like a luer lock to me, if they have a threaded end on the syringe.
