Well someone had to.

Mine is to attempt to be excellent to everyone.

I know it's a toughie, but I'm going to try really, really hard, and although it sounds a bit silly, I actually mean it.

I think Resolutions in the coming year will be higher, as pixel counts continue to grow. I think 15+ megapixels will become the standard by the end of 2011, maybe even as high as 20 Mp+ for DSLRS. This will see the need for higher quality lenses, speshly in the DSLR market, as current lower-end offerings will become too compromised as technology improves.

I cannot see an immediate resolution to problems in the Middle East, and indeed in many other areas of conflict across the Globe.

I think 'getting a proper job' was actually Kevevs resolution and not an instruction for yourself.

1) Become unemployed (that happens at midnight, should be an easy one to keep)
2) Learn to ride a bike
3) Possibly become employed.

I'll be happy with two out of three.

Crikey I'm going to hold you to that.

I've failed already!

No, seriously, I've kind of decided that although in real life I'm not too bad, I think there is room for me to be a better person. So, that's my resolution and as Al says, I should be held to it.

Not really. If anything you have the next 6 hours to get all the non-excellence out of your system.

I've got to keep mine small if there's to be any hope of acheiving them.

Hence the incredibly ambitious, selfless: 'do some more knee exercises in morning'.

The outcome will hopefully be a healthy happy 7 day hike in Knoydart during the summer so its one worth keeping!

here we go-

Nightride every week (stop the soft excuses).

ride every weekend like i used to in the spring.

Drop mates that keep saying there going to ride and then don't.

Take a trip to ride some of northern scotland.

Ride somewhere OTHER than morzine this summer.

Get down to see my southern riding mates more (i actually miss the north downs).

Keep my bike stable down to 3 (otherwise i will be single).

See my new nephew as much as humanly possible.

Help my sister become a better more confident rider.

I'll think of more later ๐Ÿ™‚

To try and stop feeling sorry for myself, try and MTFU and accept that the life we lead would be a dream to many families.

...and ride more!

1. Get fixed. Which should be relatively easy as the hospital finally decided yesterday that I'm now fit enough to go under the scalpel(s)! So all I need to do is turn up on the right day, lie back and let the docs do their work.

2. Get fitter. Bit vague like that, but it'd be good to get back to the "half marathon in under 2 hours" level of fitness. And once I've recovered from #1 I'll have no excuses.

3. Stop writing long lists of hopes/ambitions/resolutions/to-do's.
