Simple as that really! Is the difference as obvious as going from say, a Recon to a Reba?
Owned both.
Only difference I could tell is the yari is stiffer than pike but the pike is more plush.
I wouldn't buy 2nd hand unless it came with proof of recent service, recommended service interval usually ignored by most and not much oil in them to start with.
Love my Yari, got it when it was super cheap on sale £350 I think, was planning to install a Charger and make it a Lyrik - haven't felt the need, its very good.
The Yari is very good for the money, it's out go-to 160 now.
Yari. Eventually upgrade it with a complete FAST charger damper from MRC trading and a coil from CRConception - if you want more performance and you have a bit more spare cash to spend on your bike.
It's a better chassis to start out with than the Pike, but the Pike will have better damping.
Does anyone know where to get a 140mm air shaft for a Yari? It's currently at 130mm and I'm changing to a 140mm FS bike...
I have both and would get a new Yari for the stiffer chassis and the warranty. If your CSU starts creaking on a second hand fork you are screwed, as said above you can always upgrade the damper if you feel the need.

CRC usually do them and the German sites tend to have good stock too.
