[#294192]

I know I am being a fuss pot and that a deore one would shift just as good.
But I reckon the one I have been sent is different to all XTR images I can find on net. It seems to have an XT type cage without the XT cut out and an extra Shimano label above the XTR. Just an old/new design?
I thought all XTR had a double cut out cage, well all images I can find do.

Erm, don't want to seem a kill joy but don't you guys with XTR front mechs think you've been ripped off?

If an XTR front mech hasn't got the better quality finish and extra cut outs shown in the picture then haven't you just paid over the odds for an XT front mech?

I feel sorry for those guys who have to make do with XT and Deore.

Don't be silly, it's grey and about 30g lighter. Don't tell me you wouldn't notice!

I reckon Shimano put a prototype in all the pictures.

Look here - http://cycle.shimano-eu.com/publish/content/global_cycle/en/nl/index/products/mountain/xtr/product.-code-FD-M971.-type-fd_mountain.html

but the 3D view shows the one hole in the inner plate.

So is buying a Ferrari but I still want one!

My HT is full xtr and my road 105 and my hack-just deore. They have their uses and everyones budget is different.

I stopped buying XTR for my DH bike as I kept smashing it up -waste? yep.
My xc bike I can stay with XTR -less rocks (as I want quality and weight)
-weenie use.
