does anyone have a firm date when this will be avaialbe? was told june, but cant see anyone anywhere with such things of delight on offer?
Well it depends what you mean by 'firm'. You'll struggle to get an exact date out of anyone. It could depend how long the boat takes / customs / madison stock taking and their distribution network etc. I've heard end of august.
We might even see it on 2012 bikes before it's available separately.

Nope but I've got the current XTR ones. From what I've read the XT are just as good and lots cheaper with only a small weight penalty. In which case they will be excellent. In fact if they'd been available I probably wouldn't have gone for XTR. But this design of brake is awesome. Easy to bleed, setup, and live with. You would have to be mad to buy anything else.
