[#5555951]

I've decided to go for some new hoops for my 456, I'm now running 521s on hope bulbs, which are taking all punishment i can chuck at them but I can't help feeling the weight of them..
So what's the STW advice? I'd like to go with pro 2 evos but rim wise I know the 521s will be fine although I've heard good things about stans flows, ie being about as bombproof but 300g lighter for the pair..
Help!

Plus 1 for 29er hope hoops with stans flow for me. Lightweight, tubeless, a reasonable price. Seem to have taken everything I've thrown at them. Could have gone lighter but at £80 a rim plus rebuild I stayed safe.

Only down side i found is its almost impossible to use them with inner tubes, it forced me to go Tubeless and now I'm concerted I'd never go back.

A few friends run crests with not a lot of problems but I guess it depends on how light you are and what kind of riding your doing. They are incredibly lightweight. Lighter than my cyclocross disc wheels!

Flow ex/pro 2 wheelset will do you fine. Good strength to weight ratio, I race dh on mine (on my slackline) and give em plenty of abuse, all good.

Flows it is then... Is it worth going for the SP version?

No, I wouldn't say so.

How about Arch EX instead of Flow ?

I'm seriously impressed with mine and at 105Kg they get a bit of abuse.
