Any thoughts on these -

2013 Crossrides - £139.99 Merlin

Superstar Switch Evo hubs with Arch rims - £165.00

They will be used on my hardtail that I am building up for the winter.

They will be run tubeless so assume the Arch may well be the better option?

I'd look at some 2nd hand hopes too for that money.

I've some black hope pro2 sp (straight pull) with Stans crest (front) and 355 (rear) rims I will be selling next week
The crest is new version of 355, bent original rim so rebuilt with the crest
Front 15mm but can probably supply qr or 20mm caps instead
Rear 12x142mm but again easily convertible and I may have 12x135 end caps somewhere
Front nice and true rear has a small wobble that doesn't affect the ride

Can do after I pick new ones up over weekend, they are currently still on bike and a bit filthy!
They where a hope hoops build originally but obviously been rebuilt/retensioned

I'd go for the superstars, I've got the switch evo hubs on their am rims and they've been no problem, also front and rear hubs are compatible with multiple axle choices.

That's how much my Hope Pro II with Mavic 317s weighed and I never found them a problem.

However they were a pain in the backside to set up tubeless. I could only ever get the front to go up easily, the rear was a nightmare.

Thats why I sold them
