A friend of mine just got a lovely meta 5.5 and Thors and thus needs a new set of bolt through wheels. He rides pretty light so is looking to keep the weight down and is a bit of a tart so would like something in blingy colours, lightish rims and 20mm front / 135mm 10mm bolt through rear.
At the moment I found him some red Pro2's with DT 4.2's and 10mm adaptor for £310, posted to Spain, can anyone do better?
Well, the 4.2 rims will probably ding before the frame cracks, so he'll be fine! (Sorry, the STW massive will tell you all this very shortly).
Why not just get a set of Hope Hoops (£228 for a pair off Winstanleys) and get hold of the hub adapters. Plenty of rim options depending on what you need.
Yeah, I've gone through a few sets of 5.1's myself and it's a '10 commencal so hopefully won't crack..
The Hope Hoops would be a much better deal but he likes his garishly coloured tat..! (They are only available in Black?)
