Got a piar of Hope pro two's on Mavic EX729 rims, couple years old but not many miles. Hubs are fine but I now want ligher rims, is it worth sending them to a wheel builder to change the rims or just sell em and buy a new complete pre built set ?
I would need rims £35-£40 quid each (DT5.1 or similar), new nipples and spokes and the labour cost of rebuild on the existing hubs.
Sell em or rebuild em, what do you STW'ers think ?
Thanks

spend a bit of cash on the wheelpro book and have a go yourself. Cheaper and more satisfying.
You'll probably spend about as much on rims/spokes/nipples as you would just buying some Hope Hoops prebuilt, flog them and replace. ZTR 355s would get my vote.
plenty of excellent guides on the internet on how to build wheels I used this one to build a set recently: http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html
