I got wind that there may be some new sanctioned trails going up, anyone heard anything about this?

There was I think a thread recently (in December) about some new sanctioned trails on or near Leith Hill?

MTB Project looking for your votes.
Etherly Farm is a MTB friendly campsite at the foot of Leith Hill. The National Trust are bidding for a grant through the 'Bovril Outdoor revival' scheme to help build a dedicated skills trail on site. The grant will be part of a wider MTB initiative at the site which will include a new 1.5 mile single-track descent to the site from Leith hill, showers, bike washes and many of the other facilities that are not on offer within the Surrey Hills. Back the bid (and the NT's progressive attitude to MTB) by registering your vote for 'Leith Hill' at the Bovril Outdoor Revival site. Spread the word through your social networking sites, twitter etc and help get this project of off the ground.

It was some time ago, not sure if that's what OP was reffering to.

I had an email from All Biked Up mentioning that some new trails may be in the offing and I wondered if anyone knew anything more.

Unnoficial fresh trails were cut up on side of Pitch hill recently, that's what my riding buddies noticed few days ago. But for big project etc that Bovril* was the only one I've heard of.

As far as I know the Etherley Farm thing is a potential project to make an area suitable for mountain bikers - a kind of convenient and useful access point for Leith Hill.

The trails are a different but related project-in-the-pipeline which seeks to have a good official way of linking through Leith Hill, and take a bigger share of the mtb traffic. The objective would be to lure bikers on to the official trail by making it good.

What I said there relates to "official" ideas, as opposed to any other new trails, which I (obviously) wouldn't know about.
