My other have has just bought herself a mountain bike so she can join me for leisurely bike rides and to train on in the off season. I'd like to get her some accessories etc. what do you like? Preferred brands etc etc. looking to get jacket, shorts, helmet etc etc. bargains in the sales would be nice. Her birthday gift of a rather expensive hand bag this week lightly dictates spend.... 😯 😆

Thank you

I would check on sportpursuit, they've had some really nice Pearl Izumi ladies clothing. Rather than a jacket how about a gilet? Mine gets worn loads of times.

Also check out www.minx-girl.com for some lovely things.

Lycra:dhb
Shorts: altura
Jacket:check tk maxx, mine currently has gore bike wear goretex less than half price. I don't normally bother with a jacket as I ride hot, but a friend doesn't get out of her endurance one between October and March. it's already got two hard years in it and is ageing well.

I've recently bought some shorts and tops from start cycles.... Although I'm not the most experienced in the choices that are available out there, the bits I got seem to be of very very good quality for the money! £10 for Scott shorts with separate liners.... But even better is that they are all different colours! For my price range (I'm not the richest) you usually get yellow, black or pink. That's it!! So to come away with some nice aqua shorts and a nice chocolate top for my sister I've felt very girly! Definately worth a look IMO! Good luck! 🙂

A decent camelback so she can store red wine, a copy of Chat, some knitting needles and an emergency pack of tissues for unexpected emotional tears.

Single, me? Why, yes!

I just wear men's gear apart from shorts. That way you get better choice!

If she is over average ladies height (5'5" ish) sizing will be a problem especially on shorts. It's totally random so make sure that whatever you buy can be returned or exchanged.
+1 for altura
Endura is v funny sizing
Dakine (on sale at CRC) is excellent but can be pricy

Also +1 for start cycles extra 15% off this weekend with SAVE15. Got an email earlier ends Monday night.

To counter that, I'm 5ft 8 and never have problem with shorts - only jerseys! Fitted jerseys are never frigging long enough. Best kit I've found so far is Maloja.
