Geometry on SCs has come a long way. I'd quite liek one of those, especially in Greg Miinaar's colour scheme
That looks spot on for me. Luckily I can't afford one in my wildest dreams, otherwise I would look silly for telling the wife that my current Marin is going to be staying for a long while.
Geometry is much better, I would be happy reach wise on the large, and I could fit an enormous dropper. In fact the XL has got a shorter seat tube than my large Hawk Hill but I'm not that tall so I think it would be stupidly long.
Im seriously considering upgrading from the v3 to this v4, hopefully will see a frame in the flesh next month and then find out the real cost for the frame. Would need to see a few more reviews and try to read between the glowing lines to be sure, the v3 is such a great trail bike I dont want to upgrade to find out the new version just doesn't compare.
Looks a spot on bike geometry wise to replace the Smuggler frame or the new Ripley V4
Eye wateringly expensive though, not sure I can even justify the alloy version. Some damn good bikes around at the moment Orbea, Trek, Spesh and this.
@loughor Sadly they never repeat the same colour frames so this may be a tricky to pull off 🙂
You of course get 1st dabs on the mk3 frame.
Think it looks really nice, plenty of bike for the vast majority of UK riding and if I was in the market for a new bike it'd be high on the list. But I'll be sticking with my FlareMAX which looks similar numbers wise, if a tad heavier 🙂
Looks great. Like @fathomer I'll be sticking with my FlareMax, but it's good too see that manufacturers have realised that slack 29ers can make great XC (sorry, extreme country) bikes 🙂
Very different to the flaremax in both suspension design and materials. Both come in nice colours with good customer service. Wish more manufacturers would let you build a bike like Orbea, with the money they are charging there are always some bits a don't want.
