I like that, but the forks look a little weedy for the chunky frame are they set at 80mm?

Funnily enough the forks are at 120mm!

Sorry, not got my spelling head on today, even 5 letter words are tricky

Looks good

Loving those bars, I want a set badly!!!

Forks do look short for a 120, let all the pressure out of the -ve again, see if they extend and you gain a bit extra, cos presently they look like they're at 100mm.

Hans Dampf's look good too, keen to try a pair.

Nice but why the lightweight wheels with heavy/draggy tyres?

BTW, Stans & Schwalbe are not good bedfellows.

Looks purposeful. In fact, that back end looks brutal. How does it ride?
Surely there's no way there's 120mm of stanchion showing on those forks

the hx1 rear end is the most compliant rear end I've ever ridden!

Rides right nice. It's pretty nimble and light. I was amazed and how chuckable it is really. The back tyre is total overkill and is very draggy. I will change that pretty soon.

I've always ran 355's and Crests on my 26" wheeled bikes with no troubles. So the weight/strength has never been an issue, even on my 5-spot. The 2.4 tyres are purely an experiment. I can run quite low pressures and the comfort side of them is really good.

No there's a thought - I've never taken the bike on the trampoline!

When you got forks off me they were set at 100mm (spacers etc in bag with poplock). 😉

Takisawa2, is that an inbred 29er iwth 120mm rebas then? How does it ride? I've just got a lurcher & can't make my mind up over sticking with the recommended 100mm or plugging some 120's in there.

Innuendo aside, I think you may well be believing too much of the hype 🙂 Out of interest, where does comfort/flex in a frame actually come from?

I dunno it's just the comfiest 26er hardtail I've ever ridden. Same seat, same wheels, probably a different post to my other steeds... It just seems to take the stings out the knocks. But really laterally stiff when applying the power...
