[Closed] New shifter/mech time - Shimano or SRAM?

Morning all. I'm making the jump from 2x9 to 1x10 while going down to just one MTB (the horror!). I'd priced up new shifter/mech/cassette and defaulted to XTR as I've always run Shimano of some flavour (because I didn't want to be switching between bikes with different shifting).

It just dawned on me that since there'll be just one bike now it might be an opportunity to give SRAM a try. So who has run both, which do you prefer, and why?

(Hope brakes by the way so no MMX advantage from SRAM)
