Ok, hopefully an easy one...
I've just replaced a cracked (and slightly warped) Hope floating rotor for an identical new one.
Pushed the pistons back (Mono Minis btw), refitted the pads and done the centering thing as per Hope video.
All's looking fine, very little flex on the rotor, lever feels fine etc. but there seems very little bite.
Should I need to take sandpaper (or better alternative) to the pads and/or rotor, or should I just allow a little longer to bed in?
Cheers ๐
it will take a while for the pads to bed to the new rotor, so i would leave them for a while longer
2 parts jizz, 1 part ki-ora. That'll sort it.
Cheers...
*fetches jizz*
I've found that a rub over the pads with 180 grit wet-or-dry to remove the top surface helps them to bed into a new disc.
