Anyone tried these yet?   The same couple of reviews have been on t’internet for ages but nothing new recently, I wondering if anyone here has experience?

I’m deciding on aT9/T7 combo vs a pair of lighter Bonty Xr4’s for SE trails.

Got a 2.6 t7 on the rear of the hardtail and I rate it. Decent weight for a big tyre and robust enough for my needs. Survived a week in Les arc on the full sus. Spins out when climbing in the mega slop but is otherwise a decent all rounder.

Yes, I’ve been running one T9 front & the rear one they have just changed from as a T7 on the back as my trail tyres on my Top Fuel.

They actually arnt bad, but they are significantly slower than my fast wheelset (Rekon Race/Ardent Race)

I’m not sure they are noticeably faster than the wheels on my other half’s bike (EXO DHR2 & Rekon) and they certainly arnt noticeably lighter, but they are less grippy. They were a lot cheaper though!

It is somewhat confusing to know what model is being reviewed as Spec recycles model names for completely different tyres.

This review shows 2 of the latest incarnations: https://www.singletracks.com/mtb-gear/the-popular-specialized-purgatory-trail-tire-got-a-major-update-review/

I have both but not a too much time on latest one, it is quite ok on T7 as front tyre but not awesome. Previous one with wide paddles was pretty good rear tyre overall except on wet offcamber where it skated uncontrollably.

Hmmm.  Based on Hob Nobs second para and the above feedback at least the Bonty’s would be faster / lighter than DHF/Dissector

2.3 dhf in trail exo on the front of the hardtail just now...don't want to give up on the dependable grip and handling it offers...
